Castle Gate RV Park & Campground located in Helper, Utah. Only an hour
from the Provo area and halfway between downtown Salt Lake City and Moab. Built from scratch and recently opened in 2019, we are excited to have
you as our guests!
We are just a few walkable blocks from Historic Helper’s Main Street, with restaurants, coffee shop, bowling alley, museum, art galleries, grocery store, gift shops, bank, business center, liquor store, post office, bar with pool and darts, and many photo opportunities.
Helper is on the East side of the Wasatch Mountains and not at all affected by the smog or temperature inversion that impacts the air quality of the Salt Lake metro area. When you get to Helper you feel like you have gone back in time about 70 years and instantly get a soul soothing feeling mixed with both exhilaration and relaxation.
In addition, we offer the following:
With direct access to hundreds of miles of ATV trails, hiking and mountain bike trails, rock climbing, kayaking, fly-fishing, country club golfing, motorcycle rides, horseback riding, and more!
We have many choices of sites, some with
river views. 50–60 ft back-ins, 70–100 ft
pull thrus, wheelchair friendly sites, tent
sites and cabins.
All RV sites are full hook-up with 30/50 amp electric, free fiber optic Wi-Fi, Cable TV, picnic tables and fire rings. We even have some smoke free sites.
Helper is an active railroad town. For train fans, there are some of the best train watching areas in the country here. About 10 trains come by the park daily each lasting about 90 seconds. They roll by slowly and don’t blow their horns! It truly is magical to watch.
The popular San Rafael Swell, with jaw-dropping views at the Wedge and the “Little Grand Canyon”, is only an hour away. Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse point State Park are about two hours away.
Helper is known as “Utah’s Official Christmas Town” with an annual Christmas Light Parade. The art community here is also strong and growing, including an Annual Helper Arts, Music & Film Festival. Ask us about First Fridays!
Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, well known for containing the densest concentration of Jurassic dinosaur fossils ever found, is a paleontological site located only 35.6 miles from our park!
