“We spent a week at Castle Gate RV Park and had a great trip! It’s a wonderful location and you can easily walk or bike to Main Street in Helper, which is full of history and really interesting. Don’t let the proximity to the railroad tracks scare you, it’s quiet and peaceful with nice trees and wonderful views of the mountains. We loved watching the California Zephyr fly by every evening. My husband is a retired RR engineer and the trains don’t blow their horns and he couldn’t believe how you barely notice them unless you are actively looking for them. The park is very safe, clean with well spaced sites and easy in and out. The dogs loved walking along the river every morning and evening. Clean laundry facilities and exceptional staff who are friendly and knowledgeable about places to eat and things to do. We really loved Nine Mile Canyon, the Mining and Rail Museum, Helper Beer and Balanced Rock Cafe. I spent many days photographing historical Main Street and sites along the Helper River Walk Trail. Great area with lots to do and highly recommend staying at Castle Gate RV Park.”
